English rock band Whitesnake will visit Korea for the first time ever for their concert this October, according to the concert's promoter 9 Entertainment

On Monday, 9 announced in a press release that Whitesnake will rock out for their "Whitesnake Forevermore World Tour" which will take place at AX Korea on October 26.

Whitesnake was founded in 1978 by David Coverdale after he parted ways with his previous band Deep Purple. The band recorded the EP Snakebite which was released in 1978 and included a cover of a Bobby "Blue" Bland song "Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City" which became the first hit from the band.

In the late 1980s, the group shifted from their origins of blues rock to hard rock and since produced a number of records featuring their greatest hit songs such as "Is This Love," "Here I Go Again" and recently "Love Will Set You Free."

Tickets for Whitesnake's upcoming concert in Korea will be available on online reservation Interpark starting July 19.
