MURDER AT ABOGAMA

The tragic death of a wife, shot and stabbed to death by her second husband has been reported from Abogama area in Galgamuwa. Wife by name, one Chandrakanthi 39 years old, had been murdered by her second husband Somatillaka Wasala.The cause was because a complaint had been made to the police by the deceased. When on the way to the Police Station, while alighting into a bus ,she had been dragged out and shot and stabbed to death by her husband. At the time of the unfortunate tragic incident a seven year old daughter from her first marriage had watched her mother been murdered. Subsequently the accused had drunk poison, was admitted in the Galgamuwa Hospital. The hospital sources have reported that his condition is not that serious but he pretends to be in a serious nature, purposely to avoid giving evidence.
