Jung Gyu-woon and Lee Yoon-ji have been named promotional ambassadors to the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival (JIMFF), announced the PR team for the fest on Thursday.
According to a press release by JIMFF, actor Jung and actress Lee, who have been pursuing active careers in films, dramas and other fields of entertainment, agreed to promote the seventh Jecheon International Music & Film Festival set to run from August 11 to 15 of this year.
In accordance, Jung and Lee have already shot a spread for a relay donation campaign titled "Warm Heart" co-hosted by KOLON Industries' casual brand "Series" and fashion magazine Marie Claire. Casual brand Series also sponsors film development fund for the upcoming Festival.
"I haven't worked on any films yet but I have always liked them and their soundtracks so I agreed to the offer at once," Jung was quoted as saying in the statement. "I don't know what to do and how to do it, but I plan to do my best for the role I'll be given."
"I can hardly wait to experience the power of movies and music that can move people's heart," said Lee while explaining she was full of expectations at the offer. "My heart flutters just at the thought of spending a hot summer night in Jecheon with a movie and a film."
The two actors have worked together before, as supporting roles to SBS drama "Hello My Teacher" in 2005 starring Gong Yoo and Kong Hyo-jin.
Jung, 28, made his debut in 2004 with mobile drama "Five Stars" and also appeared in many popular dramas including "Love You Thousand Times" (SBS, 2009), "Dr. Champ (SBS, 2010)" and "Sign" (SBS, 2011) and is currently starring in a romantic comedy titled "Romance Town" (KBS, 2011) opposite actress Sung Yu-ri.
Lee, 27, debuted in 2003 and has since starred in many small screen projects such as "Hello My Teacher" (SBS, 2005), "King Sejong the Great" (KBS, 2008) and "Dream High" (KBS, 2011) as well as sitcom series "Nonstop," MBC reality show "We Got Married" and theater play "Proof." She is currently shooting film "Couples" also starring Kim Ju-hyeok and Lee Si-young set to premiere in the latter of this year.
